A daily journalist with more than 30 years of experience, Kathie Durbin began tracking the ancient forest conflict in 1989 while working as an environmental reporter for The Oregonian in Portland, Oregon.  Her work has been published in Hight Country News, National Wildlife, Amicus Journal, Audubon magazine, Defenders of Wildlife, The Seattle Weekly, and Willamette Week and has received numerous awards for coverage of education, social issues, and the environment.  She lives in Portland and currently writes for The Columbian in Vancouver, WA.

Jackie was living the “perfect life” with three healthy children, a pass4sure HP0-S20v loving husband, and a thriving business when she discovered she had multiple sclerosis. Instead of dwelling on her physical pain, she used that energy to begin a new career in volunteerism. Jackie cofounded Dallas’s Random Acts of Kindness Week. She has appeared pass4sure 642-611 twice on The Oprah Winfrey Show. pass4sure 117-102 Jackie was also chosen by CNN as one of their Millennium Heroes and is a recipient of the 1999 Girls Inc. She Knows Where She’s Going Award. She is also a National Ambassador for the National pass4sure 000-085 Multiple Sclerosis Society. The author of four books—The Courage to Give, Teens with the Courage to Give, America, September 11: The Courage to Give, and Teachers with the Courage to Give—Jackie inspires others to give, no matter what, and to discover that they, too, can triumph over tragedy to make a difference in the world.
